a merkypie in japan

Today, after volunteering at the oceanographic center and talking to a lot of kids (unusual but then I found out school was out for the day so that explained all the tikes), I dropped off my background check at the post office. Paid 18 for the thing to get processed and 5 bucks to ship it out.

I hope my finger prints are good. My local police department stopped doing them for some reason they refuse to explain so I had to do them myself… cause no other place in my town does it for some reason.

Since releasing the information for the early departures, I found out that all this stuff is like brand new information for the entire program. So I’m pretty much trying to figure out all this stuff along with the coordinators on the official forums. There’s the background check they want before January 1st, 2012 then they also want the Certificate of Health, and the proof of graduation. Luckily I got the proof of graduation weeks earlier as well as my transcripts.

I mean, I was originally under the impression we were going to have the application in mid-September.

Speaking of which, it’s pushed back again. To late-October/early-November. I bet you it’s going to be early November. I’m just glad they released all the documents now because I would have freaked out had they released all this stuff with the application. I mean, have you seen the required documents lately? Jesus H. Christ that’s a lot of instruction.

Monday, I see my doctor for the certificate of health form. Then I should be done for all the extra paper work required for early departure. I also got in contact with my teacher today and she said she’s writing my reference now so I can finally breath. I was getting so worried she wouldn’t do it due to her schedule.

I’m teetering on the thought of vlogging. There’s already a guy on Youtube vlogging about JET and he’s not even in it. It’s like he’s vlogging the application and I’m journaling it. Difference is I’m more paranoid than he is. I might start vlogging after I submit my application.

Anyway, that’s it.

Man I’m rambling.
